Destin High School is hosting its 3rd annual Shark 5K on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 8:00am central. The event is a fundraiser to raise money for Destin Shark Athletics! All registered runners/walkers will receive a BBQ lunch and drink courtesy of our Title Sponsor Beach Camp Brew Pub! Make your plans now to attend this amazing event supporting the newest high school in Okaloosa County in beautiful Destin, FL!
The event follows a scenic route beginning at Beach Camp Brewpub (541 US HWY 98) in Destin, down Benning to the bay, and back to Beach Camp. We are pet friendly and welcome all ages of runners, walkers, and stroller participants. Registration is $35.00 and all runners registered before October 24th will also receive a race shirt. Medals will be awarded to the top three winners in each age group as well as an Overall Male and Female Award. There will be a variety of activities on site and tables with merchandise for sale from DHS athletic teams!
***Parking will be located in the parking garage at the corner of Highway 98 and Benning. Entry on 98 or Benning. Bring cash to particpate in our athletic team fundraisers, games, and festivities like a mullet toss, axe-throwing, and putting green, as well as a raffle featuring a custom-made Destin High cornhole set and several gift cards to local restaurants!****
Race packet pick up will be held Thursday, November 2nd, between 4:30-6pm at the DHS football game at the Destin Middle School footbal field. The table will be set up outside the gate for those not attending the game. If you cannot pick up your packet before race day, you can pick it up on Saturday morning before the race.
Late or same day registration participants will not receive a shirt unless there are extras available.
